My goal is to raise $9,490 for breast cancer research - a dollar for every day my mother, Lorraine Raimondo, battled breast cancer. I'm driving across the country raising funds for every mile I drive.

THANK YOU!
I haven't even hit the road yet and already have so many people to thank! First of all, Mary Butler who lit a fire under me and took this effort to a new level, and brought on board Minoru Uchida (who I have yet to even meet in person) to design this blog and who, along with David Tainer, ever so patiently answer all my techy questions. Sharyl Holtzman, the jack of all trades, serving as sounding board, editor, PR advisor and for all the 20+ years I've known her, never runs out of encouraging words. She'll also be the first one keeping me company on the road from LA to Vegas. Kevin Tachman who invited me out to the desert, for his photography (he did the photo at the top of the blog) and sense of humor. David "Buschy" Buschman, who will be joining me somewhere in the northwest and is already researching all the wackiest roadside attractions. Martin Preston, who sent me the right email at the right time. Morgan for his many trips to the post office to ship me my stuff from NYC, Kia Quinn for sending me music to drive by, James Rodger, who's description of Utah gave me one more reason to hit the road. My sister, Beverly Raimondo, for ensuring my description of Mom rings true and letting me take over the computer. My Dad, Louis Raimondo, for always believing in me. And Macaulay Culkin, who spent many a sleepless...no, tee hee, I don't really know Macaulay Culkin. I just like saying his name. But heck, if anyone does know Macaulay, tell him about my blog! And of course all the pledgers, whose generosity is what's making this all make sense.
